FAQ
-
Q: Are you licensed?A: Currently, Little Explorers of Stonehaven operates as a legally unlicensed Family Day Home. We are actively working towards becoming voluntarily registered and licensed with the state of Virginia. In the meantime, we strictly adhere to all Virginia licensed Family Day Home standards to ensure the highest quality of care and safety for your children. For added peace of mind, we are happy to provide copies of background checks for our staff. Our commitment to compliance and transparency underscores our dedication to creating a safe, nurturing environment for every child in our care.
-
Q: What are your hours of operation?A: Childcare services are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each child’s allotted care hours are outlined in their enrollment contract. Depending on availability, extended care may be available. Please note that we are closed for all Federal holidays and various other days throughout the year. Notice is provided for all planned closures.
-
Q: What ages do you care for?A: We primarily accept children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old in our regular programs. Due to our commitment to maintaining a low child-to-caregiver ratio, spaces are limited to ensure each child receives individualized attention and care. Additionally, we offer "date night" services occasionally, which cater to children aged 6 weeks to 10 years old, providing parents with a convenient and trusted option for childcare during special evenings.
-
Q: Where are you located?A: We are located in Jeffersonton, VA, in the Stonehaven neighborhood off Route 211. The exact address is given to enrolled members for security. After enrollment, you'll receive detailed location info.
